Teen Camp – UK and European Union Programmes
1. Transportation Authorisation
I understand and agree that English Quest Camp, its authorised staff, group leaders, volunteers and designated transportation providers may arrange, supervise and/or accompany me during transportation required for the camp programme.
This may include transportation:
- within the United Kingdom;
- within EU Member States and other European countries included in the programme;
- between accommodation, programme venues, airports, railway stations, ports and other authorised locations;
- in connection with educational, cultural, sporting, recreational and other camp activities; and
- where reasonably necessary to facilitate my safe participation in the programme.
2. Permitted Means of Transportation
I understand and agree that, depending on the programme and circumstances, transportation may be provided using a combination of public, private and hired transportation, including:
- buses and coaches;
- local and regional public transport;
- underground and metro systems;
- trams;
- trains and rail services, including high-speed rail;
- ferries and passenger vessels;
- taxis and licensed taxi services;
- licensed ride-hailing or equivalent services, where permitted and approved by the organisation;
- air travel;
- organisation-owned vehicles;
- hired or leased vehicles operated by authorised drivers;
- licensed private coaches or minibuses;
- and transportation arranged through authorised third-party providers.
The exact means of transportation may vary depending on the programme, local circumstances, availability, weather, traffic conditions, delays and operational requirements.
3. Travel Within Urban Areas
I understand and agree that, as part of camp activities, I may use appropriate urban transportation, including buses, trains, metro systems, trams, taxis and other lawful public or authorised transportation.
Depending on my age, maturity, the nature of the activity and the organisation’s safeguarding procedures, I may travel as part of a small group or under a specified level of supervision.
All such arrangements will be subject to the organisation’s safeguarding, supervision and risk-management procedures.
4. Travel Between Countries
I understand and agree that the camp programme may involve travel across international borders, including travel between the United Kingdom and EU/European countries and travel between EU/European countries.
I understand that international travel may be subject to passport, visa, immigration, parental-consent, carrier and other legal or administrative requirements.
I agree to comply with all applicable travel requirements and to provide any documentation reasonably required for lawful travel.
5. Transportation Providers and Drivers
I understand that transportation may be provided directly by the organisation or by third-party providers, including public transport operators, licensed taxi companies, coach companies, rail operators, airlines, ferry operators and other appropriately authorised transportation providers.
Where private or hired vehicles are used, the organisation will use drivers and vehicles in accordance with its applicable policies and legal and safety requirements.
6. Safety and Supervision
I understand that transportation involves ordinary travel-related risks, including traffic, delays, cancellations, crowded public spaces, changes in transportation arrangements and other foreseeable travel risks.
The organisation will take reasonable measures appropriate to the programme to assess and manage transportation risks and to safeguard participants.
During transportation, I agree to follow:
- instructions given by camp staff and authorised supervisors;
- applicable transportation rules;
- local laws and regulations;
- safety instructions;
- designated meeting points and group procedures; and
- reasonable instructions concerning conduct while travelling.
7. Changes to Transportation Arrangements
I understand and agree that the organisation may make reasonable changes to transportation arrangements where necessary because of delays, cancellations, weather, operational issues, emergencies, safety considerations or other circumstances.
Where a significant change materially affects my planned travel arrangements, the organisation will seek to notify my parent or legal guardian as reasonably practicable.
8. Emergency Transportation
In an emergency, I understand and agree that the organisation and its authorised representatives may arrange reasonably necessary transportation, including transportation to a hospital, medical facility, police station, accommodation or other appropriate location.
This may include the use of ambulance or other emergency services where required.
9. Independent or Small-Group Travel
Where permitted by the camp programme and safeguarding procedures, I understand that I may be required to undertake limited periods of travel without a member of camp staff physically present.
This may include travelling by public transportation as part of an organised activity or travelling in a small group in accordance with the organisation’s procedures.
Any independent or small-group travel will remain subject to the organisation’s safeguarding requirements and instructions.
10. Personal and Medical Requirements
I understand that any relevant medical, accessibility, mobility or other transportation-related requirements should be provided to the organisation through the appropriate registration or medical information process.
I agree to ensure that the organisation has been informed of any relevant requirements that may affect my safe participation in transportation arrangements.
11. Parent / Legal Guardian Consent
I understand that, because I am under 18, transportation and international travel may require the consent of my parent or legal guardian and/or additional documentation.
I understand that the organisation may require separate parental or legal-guardian consent where required by law, the destination country, a carrier, a transport provider or the organisation’s procedures.
12. Confirmation

- I have read and understood this Transportation Confirmation.
- I agree to the transportation arrangements described above.
- I understand that transportation may involve public transport, private or hired vehicles and third-party transportation providers.
- I understand that transportation may take place in the United Kingdom and in countries outside the United Kingdom, including EU Member States and other European countries.
- I agree to follow the instructions of camp staff and authorised supervisors while travelling.
- I understand that transportation arrangements may change when reasonably necessary for operational, safety, weather, emergency or other legitimate reasons.
- I understand that international travel may require passports, visas, parental consent and other documentation.
- I understand that the organisation may arrange emergency transportation where reasonably necessary for my safety or wellbeing.
- I confirm that I have been given an opportunity to review this information before providing my consent.
